Waiting on Angels is a yearning alternative-rock / post-punk epic that somehow manages to be both maximalist and minimalist. The sprawling composition was influenced by post-punk, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Talking Heads, and that time I got really into Philip Glass.
Precious Metals is an indie rock song about searching for gold and finding something better. Upbeat and energetic with strong guitar riffs and a catchy bassline, it morphs into a reflective finger-picking outro.
Open Road is a dreamy electronic rock / chillwave track with chimey glockenspeil and a persistant groove.
Edge of the World is an energetic electronic/alternative indie rock song--kind of like if Sparklehorse made a song with the Pixies and somebody left a Moog arpeggiator going the whole time.

A Deep Well is a longing downtempo indie rock track with wisps of 60's-tinged psychedelia and rollicking drums all held together by a steady bass groove.

Featuring Nicole Walter aka Usagi Milku on saxophone, "They Call This Spring?" is an energetic and dancey combination of synths, guitar, and saxophone on top of a driving 128bpm rhythm section. Also notable as the first Marzie & Machine release with vocals.
Glockenspiel and synthesizer collide in this buoyant and upbeat instrumental indie rock track. If Tortoise made a pop song, it would probably sound a lot like this. The music video follows robots stealing synthesizers in space.
Remix artist DWAIN reimagines three tracks from the 2021 chillwave EP Marzie & Machine: Tracing an Illicit Waveform.
These propulsive and engaging jungle remixes completely recontextualize the original works, as familiar melodies and harmonies peek through the kinetic and evolving rhythms and breakbeats.
This dark yet hopeful track takes listeners on a minimal synthwave journey, with a woozy lead line floating over a chugging synth bass and gentle pad.
The dreamlike music video portrays two samurai armies clashing on the battlefield before witnessing a momentous spectacle in the night sky.
A longing, optimistic vocal sample floats above a bouncing, upbeat dash of frenetic bass and staccato drums.
Five hopeful tracks that arose from a local long-distance collaboration between Marzipan Kitten and Machine Learner.
